how it works
1. Depending on the weather the continuous loop lure can be operated inside or outside, when the weather is bad, we have the option to use the machine inside a barn. The floor of the barn is sand, allowing dogs to run comfortably.
2. At the time of the lure course event, there will be a maximum of 6 dogs at the session, each dog runs individually. You can run dogs from the same household, but multiple dogs are not allowed to run together, this is to ensure the health and safety of all dogs and handlers.
3. Each dog gets a minimum of 4 runs each, the runs will be timed to ensure the dog does not exert itself. Dogs take it in turns to run, allowing the dog to rest in-between runs.
4. After your dog has run, there will be on lead calming activities available. These will be provided behind a screened off area so not to distract them whilst other dogs are running, allowing their arousal levels to drop.
5. Once dogs have run and completed the calming activities provided, dogs should remain outside the venue until it is their time to run again.
Get ready for some fast and fun action! With our continuous loop lure, your dog gets to tap into their natural instinct to chase, this interactive play not only satisfies yours dog's innate hunting behaviours, but also encourages physical and mental engagement, helping to alleviate boredom and pent-up energy. The continuous, unpredictable motion of the lure challenges your dog to think and react quickly, honing their agility, reflexes, and problem-solving skills.
